Role Profile:
The Process Engineer reports directly to the Production Manager. Designs and implements system and equipment procedures used in manufacturing facilities. Their main duties include testing and monitoring equipment, updating current system processes and conducting risk assessments.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting research to develop new and improved processes for manufacturing.
- Designing and planning equipment layout.
- Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production.
- Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues in coordination with Production Supervisors.
- Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates.
- Monitoring and implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ensuring the promotion of awareness in accordance to the principle of company’s GMP program.
- Developing and updating of Production’s documents, procedures, and standards in coordination with Production Supervisors and Manager.
- Accomplishing and monitoring of production’s Corrective Action Reports (CAR) in coordination with QA/QC and Production Supervisors.
- Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Other tasks that may include monitoring the production efficiency, utilization and wastage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
- Work experience as a process engineer is a plus but not required.
- Analytical thinker.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Strong attention to details.
- Proficient with computer and information technology.
- Ability to persuade others to change existing practices.
